William "Bill" Vasilius

William "Bill" K. Vasilius, 79, of Gurnee, Illinois, formerly of Waukegan and North Chicago, Illinois, passed away on September 11, 2025.

He was born on June 20, 1946, in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of William E. and Emily A. (née Ludas) Vasilius. Bill attended DePaul University for two years and married Patricia Wagner in Waukegan, Illinois. Bill worked as an accountant for forty years at Sullivan Smith, Hauser, and Noonan LTD. alongside Mike Perilo and Jeff Thut. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Gurnee, Illinois, Knights of Columbus #11112, and served in the United States Army Reserve for six years and attained a rank of SSG (E6). He loved fishing in Canada and traveling to casinos, especially in Las Vegas and New Orleans, and bowled for over fifty years. 

Bill is survived by his wife, Patricia Vasilius, and nephews, Scott A. (Geneva) Ratliff and David J. (Michele) Ratliff.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Emily A. Vasilius, and sister Elizabeth A. Ratliff. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Rd, Gurnee, Illinois. A private interment will be held on a different date at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 2595 Knapp Street Rd., Oshkosh, WI.
