Viola Boyd

Viola McMorris Boyd, 81, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away October 7, 2026. She was born September 27, 1945 in Clinton, South Carolina.

Viola previously lived in Zion, Illinois. She worked for Ocean Spray and married Willie R. Boyd Sr., in December of 1964.

Viola is survived by her children, Willie R. Boyd Jr., Tyrome Boyd, and Tammi Loonsfoot; grandchildren, Chrissie Cobb, Whitley Boyd, Stephanie Boyd, Aiyana oonsfoot, Bryton Loonsfoot, Malcolm Boyd, Elijah Boyd, Lilliana Volakis, and Keiara Boyd; four great grandchildren; siblings, Eula Wirphrie, Helen Watts, Lula Suber, Ralph McMorris, and George McMorris; as well as neices, nephews, two sister in laws, and many other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie R. Boyd Sr.; mother, Sarah Floyd McMorris; sister, Debra Way; and brothers, Roscoe McMorris and Elbert McMorris.

Visitation will be held Monday October 19, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Road Zion, Illinois 60099
