Todd Burgmeier

April 3, 1963 — October 28, 2026

Todd Burgmeier, 63, was born in Great Lakes, Illinois, and passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of his wife and children. A devoted husband, loving father, proud Pappaw, and faithful man of God, Todd leaves behind a legacy that will live on through all who knew him.

At the age of 22, Todd accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, beginning a lifelong journey of faith. His relationship with God was an important part of his life, guiding the way he loved his family and treated others. His friends and family take comfort in knowing that he is now at home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Todd had a quiet way of making people feel cared for, always putting others before himself. He found joy in fishing, birdwatching, cheering on his beloved Chicago Bears and White Sox, and indulging in something sweet alongside a good cup of coffee.

Todd shared 39 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Kelly Burgmeier (née Anthony). Their life together was filled with love, companionship, and countless treasured memories. Todd cherished being a husband and father, but becoming a Pappaw brought him joy unlike any other. It was one of the greatest blessings of his life, and the love he held for each of his grandchildren was immeasurable.

Todd is survived by his wife, Kelly; his children, Kayla (Jimmy) DesVoignes, Wesley (Chelsea) Burgmeier, and Haley (Jordan) Crawford; his grandchildren, Georgia, Cora, Parker, Lincoln, Adeline, Payton, and Eleanor; his parents, Larry and Bonnie Burgmeier; his siblings, Kim (Bill) Mack, Jeff (Jenny) Burgmeier, and Randy Burgmeier; as well as many nieces and nephews.

We are forever grateful to his dear friends, Ray and Shyrl Marrero and Dave and Dana Martin; his brother- and sister-in-law, Craig and Blythe Anthony; and all the family and friends who stood by him, shared in his life, and brought him friendship, love, and happiness. Your kindness, love, and support will never be forgotten.

The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary team of nurses and doctors of the stem cell unit at City of Hope. Their dedication, compassion, and support meant so much to Todd and his family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in his honor to City of Hope through Cards for Hope – In Memory or to the Lymphoma Research Foundation at lymphoma.org. The family is deeply grateful for your support and generosity in honoring his memory.
