Stephen Walters

Stephen Michael Walters, 53, of Zion, IL, died on September 11, 2011. Stephen was born September 15, 1957, in Waukegan, IL. He was a former volunteer with the Bonnie Brook Fire Department. Survivors include two children, Sarah (James) Box of Zion, IL, and Elizabeth Walters of North Chicago, IL; mother, Therese Walters of Sparta, WI; sister, Karen Swartz of Sparta, WI; brothers, William (Linda) Walters of Antioch, IL, and Brad (Trisha) Walters of Zion, IL; ex-wife and good friend, Barbara Walters of North Chicago, IL; and many nieces and nephews and other family. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Walters in 2001. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
