Stanley Zorc

Stanley "Stan" Zorc, 95, of Beach Park, IL (formerly of Waukegan, IL) passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025. He was born November 24, 1929 in North Chicago, IL to Frank and Frances (Miks) Zorc.

Stan married Delores Roberts prior to joining the Army where he was stationed in Japan. Upon his return, Stan and Delores started their family and personally built their first home. They were avid square dancers and enjoyed family camping trips. Stan worked for the Waukegan News Sun for most of his career and also owned ABC Printing. In retirement Stan spent time working in his garden, woodworking and carpentry. He and Delores also enjoyed traveling the Southwest in their RV.

Stan is survived by his children, Stanley (Deb Graupman) Zorc Jr., and Teri (John) Kaneski; loving granddaughters, Amanda Kaneski, and Jennifer (Colin) O'Donnell; sister-in-law, Dorothy Zorc; and brother-in-law, Bruce (Peggy) Peterson.

He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Delores; his parents, and siblings Bobby, Frank and Tom.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, IL 60099. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville, IL.
