Stanley Schmidt Jr

Stanley L. Schmidt Jr. of Beach Park went to be with his Lord on July 3, 2026. Stanley was born on October 29, 1940 in Zion. He married Ellen Davis on April 8, 1960.
Stanley worked with the union local 250 as a Carpenter. He was a jack of all trades and a master of all that he put his hands to. Stan loved to study the Bible and sharing his knowledge when questions were asked of him.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife Ellen, children David Schmidt, Regina Haines, Darrin (Amy) Schmidt, Renee Thompson. His grandchildren that he was incredibly proud of, Chad Thompson, Logan (Kailee) Schmidt, Mitchell Haines, Harley Haines, Madeline Schmidt, his bonus grandchildren Hayley (Spencer)Schmidt, Jenna Hagen, Celena Hagen.
Siblings Barbara Patty, Lawrence(Pamela)Schmidt, Vicki Barry, Debra ( Richard)Pedersen. Many nieces and nephews.
Stanley is preceded in death by his parents Stanley Sr. and Ruth, sister Glena TeVogt and granddaughter Katherine Schmidt.
By Stanley's wishes there will be no services.


Stan's soul belongs to God I know, he made the commitment long ago. God picked him up when he was down, and gave him strength to carry on. God held him up when he could no longer stand and called him home to the promised land.
There are not enough words to describe how much I loved him and our children loved him. We knew how much Stan loved us back. Until we meet again my precious, sweet, loving Stan.
