With deep sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of Sharon LaVonne Dill, who departed this life peacefully on December 12, 2024, surrounded by those who loved her dearly. She was 87 years old.
Born on September 10, 1937, in Zion, IL with a warm heart and a generous spirit, Sharon spent her life uplifting others through her kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to family and friends. She was a woman of quiet wisdom and deep compassion, known for her nurturing nature, gentle humor, and steadfast faith.
Throughout her life, Sharon had a strong work ethic but also found joy in the simple pleasures—tending to her garden, sharing meals with loved ones, offering a listening ear, and celebrating the milestones of her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren. She had an uncanny ability to make every person feel seen, valued, and loved.
She is preceded in death by her Father, Frederick Wickersheim and Mother, Eunice Wickersheim, her Husband, Hubert (Bob) Dill, and is survived by her two Son's, Phillip (Tammy) Dill of Maricopa, AZ. and Tom (Gwen) Dill of Corona, CA., 5 grandchildren, Daniel Dill and Eric Dill of Vancouver, WA., Jimmy (Jennifer) Morris of Lantana, TX., Ashlee (Zachary) Russ of Huffman, TX., and Jordan (Kati) Dill of San Antonio, TX.,11 great grandchildren, Jameson, Drake, Everley, Deacon, Julianna, Matthew, Ryan, Jackson, Kendall, Carson and Cole, 3 Brothers, Dwayne (Gloris) Wickersheim of Zion, IL., Lonnie (Laurel) Wickersheim of Glendale, AZ., Lee Wickersheim of Show Low, AZ., and niece's and nephew's that she loved dearly. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at Congdon's Funeral Home in Zion, IL on July 19, 2025, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Sharon's church at the address or link below in her honor.
May her soul find eternal peace and may her legacy of love and grace continue to shine brightly in all our lives.
