Ronald C. Saleski

Ronald Saleski, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, passed away quietly in his home at the age of 68 on June 23rd, 2025.

Ronald was born in Waukegan, IL, to parents Jacqueline and Richard. He worked nearly 30 years as an Auto Body Mechanic before transitioning to become an Armed Security Guard for a decommissioned nuclear power plant. Having a great love for hobbies, Ronald completed pilot school in 1976, built his own motorcycle, cared for his dogs, cats, and ducks, researched and restored military weaponry, and devoted a great deal of time and patience to building historically accurate model airplanes that are now enjoyed by his grandchildren. Ronald was a faithful and loving husband, father, and papa, who had a strong sense of loyalty in his character. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia DebraBander, whom he married in the Bahamas.

Ronald is survived by his three children, Amanda Saleski, Lauren Ancahas, and Jonathan Saleski; grandchildren William Jr. and Benjamin; and brother Richard Saleski.
