Robert Taylor

Robert “Bob” Taylor, 76, of Waukegan, IL died on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at home following a long illness. Bob was born March 22, 1939 in Ashland, WI and grew up in Waukegan. He retired from Allis-Chalmers in Deerfield, IL, from Rock-Tenn Corporation in Mundelein, IL, and Colbert Packaging in Libertyville, IL. Bob enjoyed his family and was an avid fisherman. Survivors include his wife of 56 years Helen; children Eugene (Tina) Taylor of Mauston, WI, Elizabeth (Danny) Gonzalez of Waukegan, IL, and Debra (Chuck) Bergman of Delavan, MN; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; siblings Karen Hogan of Gurnee, IL, Sally Wiiks of Waukegan, IL, David Taylor of Adams, WI, and Loretta Byther of South Apopka, FL; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by one son David Taylor; one daughter Wendy Larson; and his parents Wallace and Elma Taylor. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL.
