Robert "Bob" Fink

Robert “Bob” Fink, 89, passed away on October 25, 2026, in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. He was born on June 14, 1937, in Aurora, Illinois.

Bob built a life centered on education, family, faith, and service. He earned a master’s degree in education and went on to serve as a principal and school administrator with Zion School District 6. His work in education reflected a lasting commitment to students, schools, and the community he served.

He was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and a Kiwanis member. Bob was also a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening and was a Lake County, Illinois master gardener. He was also an alumnus of North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Over the years, he lived in Aurora, Naperville, Zion, and Winthrop Harbor, Illinois. He married Karen Parker in Aurora, Illinois, beginning a marriage that became the foundation of a large and loving family.

Bob is survived by his wife, Karen Fink. He is also survived by his children, Greg and Jill Fink, Bruce and Darla Fink, Daniel and Lisa Fink, and Megan and James Ferger. His family continued to grow through the generations, and he is survived by his grandchildren, Stefanie Fendry, Marisa Fendry, Kyle Fink, Sarah Fink, Austin Fink, Aaron Fink, Maxwell Fink, Madeline Fink, Ethan Ferger, Ainsley Ferger, and Maddox Ferger. He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn Schmidt, and by his brother, Rolland and Brenda Fink. He will be remembered with love by all who shared in his life and family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church, 2935 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois 60099. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
