Ralph David Ratliff

Ralph Ratliff, 78, of Waukegan, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025. He was born in Waukegan in October of 1946 to Joseph and Lorraine Ratliff. He graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1964. He served with the United States Army. In 1969 he married Suzanne Stone. They celebrated 55 years of marriage and enjoyed annual winter vacations in Nassau, Bahamas.

He was a proud member of the Polish Home 16" softball team, playing 3rd base when they won the 1972 Lake County tournament.

He is survived by his wife Suzanne, his son David (Jennifer) Ratliff, grandsons Brandon (Hayley) Ratliff of Waynesville, Missouri and Jacob (Lauren) Ratliff of Cameron, North Carolina, granddaughter Ella Whidby (Keaton Barrett) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, great-grandchildren Adalynn, Logan and soon to be born Eli, sister Joyce Raidart, cousin Bonnie (Don) Dixon and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Joseph, sister Sharon Minogue and cousin Ron (Karen) Griffin.

A Celebration of Life will be held November 29, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with military honors held at 4:30 p.m. at the Genesee Theatre Jack Benny Lounge 203 N. Genesee Street Waukegan, IL 60099.

Casual attire is welcome. Ralph's favorites, Quonset Pizza and Hillary's Ribs will be served.
