Priscilla Krause

Priscilla Krause, 69, of Beach Park, Illinois, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 24, 2025, peacefully holding on to the promise of John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him, will not perish but have eternal life.”

She grew up in Waukegan, Illinois, the daughter of Don and Mary Lou Stranberg and attended Immanuel Baptist Church, Winter Evangelical Free Church and later in life worshipped at Christ Community Church in Zion, Illinois.

Priscilla was married to Jonathan Krause for 50 years. Together, they shared a deep and abiding love that has been a legacy for their children and grandchildren. Over the years, they built a life centered on faith, family, hard work, the outdoors and building relationships. Priscilla worked as a graphic artist, EMT, school bus driver and caregiver. Her most prized accomplishment of all was investing well in relationships with the people she loved most- her husband, children, grandchildren, and extended family.

Priscilla was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose faith in Jesus was lived out with gentle intentionality both in her family and in the community. She was kind, welcoming, easy to talk to, and known for her wisdom, thoughtfulness, warmth and beautiful spirit. Her legacy of love for Jesus and others will live on in her children and those who knew her well.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jonathan Krause; her children, Benjamin Krause (Gretchen) and Melissa Humphrey (Joseph); her five grandchildren whom she loved dearly; her siblings: Don Stranberg Jr. (Maureen), Joyce Koss (Bill), sister-in-law, Dawn Stranberg, and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Mary Lou Stranberg and her brother, Ted Stranberg, and extended family members.

Family and friends are kindly invited to join us in celebrating her life on Sunday, January 18th 2026 at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Dr., Zion, Illinois, 60099. Visitation will start at 1:30 p.m., with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 3:00 p.m.
