Patricia A. (Pat) Flaminio, age 86, of Spokane Valley, Washington, formerly of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, February 13th, 2026. Pat was born October 28, 1939 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to Edwin and Katherine Pond. She graduated from Lake Geneva High School, Class of 1957. During the summer of 1957, the President of the First National Bank (at that time the only bank in Lake Geneva) called her to ask if she would be interested in an interview. She was and got hired at the age of 17 to be the bank Secretary, a position she had for six months and then was promoted to a Teller position. Pat was also employed by the Community Action Program in Janesville, Wisconsin for 15 years as Executive Secretary and by the Lake County, Illinois Planning & Development Department from 1989 to 2010 as Executive Secretary in the Engineering Division.
She was married to her soul mate, Peter (Flip) on April 6, 1990 in Las Vegas. Sadly, he passed away on August 1, 2019. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Rick (Gina) Kurtz of Spokane, Washington; daughters Ellen Flaminio and Kathleen Fry both of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania; sons, Michael (Jennifer) Flaminio of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Jason (Abranda) Flaminio of Oswego, Illinois and Scott (Grace) Flaminio of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Also surviving her are numerous grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Flip; daughter, Lorie Kurtz; daughter, Jeanine Marsters; son, Peter Flaminio; and son in law, Ronald Fry. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brothers Elmer Baneck, Robert and Carl Pratt; brothers and sisters in law.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL.
Her ashes will be with her husband in the Wisconsin Veteran’s Cemetery in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
