Mike Sahagun Lopez

Miguel "Mike" Sahagun Lopez, a devoted Catholic, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Mike live a beautiful life, filled with love and laughter. Mike was born on March 11, 1947 to loving parents, Edilberto Sr. and Isidora Lopez.

Mike grew up in Orion, Bataan with his late siblings, Crispin, Corazon, Erlinda, Edilberto Jr., Fernado, and Rodolfo. Although born in the Philippines, the United States was his home, where he served in the U.S. Navy and later worked for the U.S. Postal service. For Mike, "Home is where the family is." Family is what he loved the most and took pride in.

Mike was preceded in death by his late wife, Rosalina Lopez.

He is survived by his five children, Mellany, Michael, Marie, Rudolph, and Ronald; eight grandchildren, Leilani, Ethan, Haley, Brandon, Ava, Tatiana, Jason, and Alivia.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. Burial will be held, Friday, August 22, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at, Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring St, Union Grove, WI 5318.

Dad, you will be missed. Thank you for the jokes and your laugh. Thank you for the talks and wise words of advice. Thank you for your hard work and devotion. Thank you for the love you gave us. Salamat sa lahat ng ginawa mo para sa pamilya mo, makakapagphahinga ka na, "Good job in the city" Dad.
