Michael David Campbell Jr., 54, of Franklin, Wisconsin, passed away September 10, 2025. He was born March 17, 1971, in Waukegan, Illinois, to Michael David Campbell Sr. and the late Pauline Rose (Westphal) Campbell.
Mike grew up in Zion, Illinois, graduating from Zion Benton Township High School in 1989. He continued his education at ITT Technical Institute, earning an associate's degree in Electrical Engineering in 1991. For 26 years, he was a dedicated employee at Harley Davidson as a Machinist, where he was known for being a valued coworker and a friend. Mike was a member of the Harley Davidson bowling and dart leagues, and he and his coworkers often worked out in the gym together after their second shift job.
Outside of work, Mike’s passions were diverse and deeply personal. He was a huge fantasy football fan, a pursuit that brought him great joy and a notable championship victory in 2019 with his team, "Bear Claw." A true enthusiast of his Harley, he loved nothing more than taking long rides. His choice of music was classic rock, and he could often be found listening to sports podcasts or the 670 Score. He was a skilled computer builder, meticulously assembling each part to create his custom gaming machine. Mike also had a passion for cooking, with his signature dish being sous vide jerk chicken, which he would finish off on his pellet grill with mesquite hardwood pellets. This grill was a source of immense pride, a cherished possession that he and his father had picked up together. Above all, Mike’s coworker expressed that he spoke highly of his stepdaughter, Elliana, and was always looking out for her best interest.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Sandra (Cangemi) Campbell; and his stepdaughter, Elliana Campanella. He also leaves behind his father, Michael David Campbell Sr.; stepmother, Marilyn; and stepsister, Kirsten (Dennis) Migut.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Rose (Westphal) Campbell of Zion Illinois.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery 1436 Kenosha Road, Zion Illinois on September 19, 2025 at 12pm.
