Mary "Terry" Boyer

Mary Jean (Terry) Boyer, 80, of Zion, Illinois passed away August 10, 2025. She was born March 21, 1945 to parents Bert Boyer and Mary T. Donilar.

Terry was an avid gardener, spending endless hours beautifying her home and yard with plants and flowers for her birds. Her home was her happy place. Terry was also a dog lover. She rescued many dogs including Bogie, Charlie, “Choo-Choo”, Lucy, and Benji.

She is survived by her children, Tony (Dianne) Theis, Randy (Jenny) Theis, Debbie (Gary) Davidson; grandchildren, Christopher Theis, Jessica Theis, and Nicholas Theis; great-grandchildren, Lillian Thorn and Robert Thorn; and sister, Joan and Lou Kopp.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harry Boyer; and sister, Kimberly S. Hensley.

Terry appreciates all of the supportive family and special friends not only throughout her illness, but throughout her life.

A visitation will be held Friday August 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Road Zion, Illinois 60099.
