Marvin Irving

Marvin Seymour Irving, 94, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away September 19, 2026 in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. He was born December 9, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Sarah and David Irving.

Marvin was raised by his aunts, Rose and Helen, and attended schools in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the United States Army from 1952 until being honorably discharged on August 6, 1960, serving during the Korean War. Marvin married his wife, Maryanne F. Vitas, in Skokie, Illinois on October 3, 1992. They both attended Wesley Free Methodist Church in Waukegan, Illinois. Marvin was a salesman and sold wire and cable Anixter Brothers in Skokie, Illinois.

In his earl years Marvin was very active. He enjoyed playing Tennis in a Tennis club. Marvin loved to read, his favorites being romance novels as well as his Bible. He enjoyed playing cards, especially Hand-N-Foot. He also liked Dr. Pepper, Five Guys fries, Kosher Pickles, and Lox and Bagels.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Maryanne F. Irving; children, Steven (Cathy) Irving, Michael Irving, Lynn (Marc) Klass, Sheryl Irving, Rana (Louie) Georgan, and Lisa Beth (Dave) Meyers; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and David Irving.

A visitation will be held Thursday September 24, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. at Wesley Free Methodist Church 3601 N Lewis Ave, Waukegan, Illinois 60087. Burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park 1436 N Kenosha Rd, Zion, IL 60099.
