Lillian Paschal

Lillian Paschal “Cookie” passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on June 15th 2025. Cookie, was born on June 24th 1953 in Whitewater, Wisconsin and moved to Illinois in 1982. There she met and married her soul mate John Paschal. They raised 3 children together in Winthrop Harbor, Chris (Janet) Paschal, Norman (KK) Paschal, and Heather Paschal. She also had 9 grandchildren, who she adored with all her heart, Caity, Ray, Rayna, Lanaya, Aiden, Wyatt, Casen, Jaelyn, and JJ; and great-grandchildren, Vinny, Rowan, and Des. With the first great-granddaughter on the way. Lillian also loved her many nieces and nephews.

Cookie’s heart and soul was her family. She was a homemaker most of her life and loved to host countless family gatherings where she could be found front and center in the kitchen. Cookie had a knack for making everyone feel special and left and impact on everyone who she crossed paths with. Some of her favorite pastimes were doing crossword puzzles, playing card games, but most of all her favorite, Junes Journey.

Cookie was proceed in death by her parents Inez and Clarence Fraley and many siblings. Cookie is survived by her husband John, her children, grandchildren, her sister Shannon, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Cookie will be held at Congdon Funeral Home on Monday, June 23rd 2025. There will be a visitation from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. and a service to follow at 6:00 p.m.
