Kenneth A. Snyder

1939 — May 2, 2021

Kenneth (Ken) A. Snyder of Gurnee, Ill., died on Sunday, May 2, at his family’s residence in Pleasant Prairie, Wisc. He was born July 18, 1939, in Chicago to Arthur and Charlotte (Fultz) Snyder. He married Jane (Hurley) Snyder on February 12, 1962. Ken is survived by his son, James (Jennifer) Snyder of Pleasant Prairie, Wisc., a daughter Kimberly Brady, his grandchildren Kendall (Joseph) Statler and Nicholas Michalak, a great-grandson, James Olsen, a sister-in-law Colleen (Robert) Treanor, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife, Jane. Ken graduated from high school in Chicago and later served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for nearly 50 years in the commercial autobody industry. Most recently, he was employed by Waukegan Color in Waukegan, Ill., where he retired in 2016. Ken possessed a gentleness, a dry sense of humor and compassion for his family and friends. He was an amazing brother-in-law to Marcella, Colleen and Eileen, and an avid NASCAR fan. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Ken’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
