Kathleen Jackson

Kathleen "Kat" Jackson, 81, of Beach Park, IL, passed away after a battle with cancer. Kathleen was born August 2, 1944, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She married Fred Jackson, March 21, 1964. They were married 57 wonderful years.

She was hysterical, loving, hard working, give the shirt off her back, the queen of sass. She made everyone feel loved, special, and supported. Everyone was her "favorite" and she meant it. She was so in love with her great grandson and was willing to be his playmate. Always up for an adventure, or to lend a hand. Her grand puppies couldn't wait for her attention.

She worked at Cherry Electric for many years and the Dayton in Kenosha taking care of disabled vets.

She is survived by her children, Tamara Karlstrand, and James (Tina) Jackson; grandchildren, Ryan (Tasha) Zedrow, Danielle (Alex) Szymanski, and Steven (Chelsey) Jackson, a great grandson Brooks Szymanski, a sister, Karen (Greg) Orlando, a brother, Thomas (Nina) Loew, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws that she loved and cherished.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Fred Jackson, her sisters and brother in laws Marlene (Charlie) Bostick, Barb (David) Lesley, her mom and dad, Josephine and Pete Loew.

Heaven truly has the best angels.

Memorial visitation will take place Friday, January 16, 2026 at Congdon Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 pm with a service beginning at 7:00 pm.
