Kathleen grew up in Highland Park IL Graduated from Highland Park high school. She worked at Walgreens in Waukegan, IL for many years. Kathleen will be remembered for loving her family and friends deeply. She lived for her children and grandchildren. She had a passion for bird watching in her backyard and playing candy crush and fruit ninja with her grandchildren. She will be missed as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her children, Donald (Samantha) Friedlund and Jennifer Friedlund. Her grandchildren, Sean, Noah and Ryan Friedlund and Laila Wynn. Her sister, Mary (Ray) Scripture and her brother, James (Cindy) Kilkenny and her brother in law, Michael Trygar.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, James and Gladys Kilkenny and her sister, Patricia Trygar.

In lieu of flowers, donations are accepted through her daughter Jennifer Friedlund for any final expenses.

A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.
