Joseph H Dumalski Jr.

“Smokin Joe”

April 1, 1946 – April 16, 2025

Dearest friends and family, we are deeply saddened to share that Smokin Joe Dumalski passed away on April 16, 2025.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann; 2 brothers, Jerald and George; 2 sons, Bradley and Wesley; 2 step-children Dawn and Howard; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Sr.; his mother, Mae; his step-daughter, Michelle; and granddaughter, Sarah Mae.

A Vietnam Veteran, Joe was proud to have served his country in the United States Army and used his mechanical skills to build a lifelong career. First as an automotive mechanic and later in starting his own business operating a successful Cornwell Tools Franchise for over 20 years. Smokin Joe was a family man, but not in the traditional sense. To Joe, family wasn’t defined by blood, moreover, it was defined by looking out for one another no matter what was going on in the world. Joe loved the outdoors, fishing, fixing any and everything, country music, a good two-step, and enjoying a cold one with family and friends.

Smokin Joe is deeply missed by his family and friends, and we rest assured knowing that “the man upstairs” must have called on Joe because he needed a “damn good wrench”.

Joe had a love for kids; in lieu of flowers, we would like to honor his legacy through donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in his name.
