Joseph Bezek

Joseph R. Bezek, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois passed away September 23,2026. He was born February 12, 1963 in Waukegan, Illinois to parents, Joseph and Mary Bezek.

Joseph graduated with a Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from the University of Chicago, class of 1987. He worked as an expediter and estimator in construction for almost 40 years. Joseph married his wife, Theresa Busch October 3, 1987.

Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved dogs and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He will be greatly missed.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Theresa Bezek; children, Ian (Jen) Bezek and Lillian Bezek; granddaughter, Juniper Josephine Bezek; sister, Rosemary “Mitzi” (Ken) Bush; mother-in-law, Patty Busch; brother-in-law, David (Ilona) Busch; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Bezek; uncle, Edward Bezek; and father-in-law, Paul Busch.

A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Road Zion Illinois, 60099.
