Jeanne M. Dreyer

Jeanne M. Dreyer, 91, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026.

She was born on November 14, 1934 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Jeanne dedicated her life to her children, teaching and volunteering. She contributed to the growth and development of children as P.E. teacher, Dean and or coach at Zion Benton High School, Beach Park Elementary and McCall Elementary schools. She loved children and was a Lady Shriner and volunteer/donor for Shriners Hospital for Children.

She is survived by her Daughters, Lisa Teigland and Laura (Michael) Shea; Grandchildren, Alexis, Aiden, and Ava Schueler.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Myrtle Vreeland; husband, Richard, and son-in-law, Ronald Teigland.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful caregivers at Alto Grayslake and Heartland Hospice.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL with a memorial service starting at 11:00 a.m.. Inurnment will follow after services at Mt Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
