Jeanie Lynn Griffin

Jeanie Lynn Griffin, 62, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2026 in Waukegan, IL. She was born in Lake County, IL to the late Wilburn and Essie Mae Griffin. She worked as a Healthcare Solution Engineer for U.S. Bank/Elavon.

Jeanie was a vibrant soul who lived life to the fullest and brought joy and laughter to all who were around her. Her role as "Grammy" was one of her greatest joys and she took such pride in watching her grandchildren grow. Beyond her family, she was a loyal and dear friend to many. She truly lived fully, laughed often, and left a lasting mark on all the lives who knew her.

She is survived by son, Jerrad (Ashley) Griffin; grandchildren, Maeve and Leland Griffin; sister, Pamela Porlier; and nephew, Mike Adams.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay, Alabama. The family will receive friends during visitation beginning at 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. A burial will take place immediately following the service at Red Bay Cemetery, where Jeanie will be laid to rest. Friends and family are invited to gather to share stories and memories to honor the lasting legacy she leaves behind.
