Janice Ekdahl

Janice Ruth Ekdahl was born July 27, 1956 in Waukegan, IL and passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025 in Kenosha, WI.

When talking about her upbringing in Zion, IL she would reminisce with admiration and reverence about her father, Franklin Biere, who passed down all of his wonderful qualities to her. She was quiet and imaginative like he was and needed nothing more than her ingenuity to keep her company. Her mother, Martha Biere passed down her incredible consideration, warmth, and sense of humor. Eventually, she got married to Raymond Ekdahl in Reno, NV in 1979 and gave birth to twin boys, Pierce and Preston, years later.

No matter the situation, she was always there and willing to give up anything for anyone. You couldn’t ask for a better person. 

Janice is survived by her sons, Pierce and Preston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ekdahl.

Services will be private for the family.
