Janet L. Gill

Janet L. Gill, 84, of Zion, Illinois, passed away March 5, 2026 in Libertyville, Illinois. She was born February 3, 1942 in Maple Fork West Virginia to parents, Conston and Georgia Williams.

Janet previously lived in Wisconsin before moving to Zion. She was married September 2, 1961 until April 9, 1991. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, always willing to help out with all of their events. She also worked for Farley’s candy factory for many years. Janet liked to shop, especially at Gabe’s in West Virginia as well as enjoy the occasional hot dog at The Corner, also in West Virginia. Janet loved spending time with her family and taking care of them. She was well known for her famous potato salad and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.

Janet is survived by her children, Jeanette (David) Wickersheim, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, and Tammy (Larry) Olsen of Round Lake Park, Illinois; grandchildren, Kyle Mack of Beach Park, Illinois, Adam Gill of Zion, Illinois, Brittani Ross of Pleasant Prarie, Wisconsin, Amanda Olsen of Round Lake Park, Illinois, Kaysey Olsen of Round Lake Park, Illinois, and Brianna Wickersheim of Kansasville, Wisconsin; great grandchild, Noah Davis of Round Lake Park, Illinois; siblings, Elizabeth Loudermilk, Betty Massey, Conston Williams, Kenny (Lynn) Williams, Denny (Drema) Williams, Brenda (Watus) Dow, Gary (Cindy) Williams, Sherry Williams, and Jeffrey (Kim) Williams; and sister in law, Peggy Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Conston and Georgia Williams; brother, Frankie Williams; nephew, Gary Williams; brothers-in-law, Samuel Dean Loudermilk, Richard Loudermilk, and Charles Massey; and companion, Jeffrey Fain.

A memorial service will be held Thursday March 19, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church 3001 9th St, Winthrop Harbor, Illinois 60096, followed by a dinner at church.
