Janet Duncan

Janet Louise Duncan, 80, of Winthrop Harbor, IL formerly of Ocala, FL, passed away on July 6, 2026 in Winthrop Harbor, IL.

Janet was born on July 31, 1945 the daughter of Doyle and Evelyn (Akins) Martin in Waukegan, IL. Janet graduated from Zion Benton High School, class of 1964. She worked at the Cake Box bakery in Zion, IL until its closing and then went to work at Philmar. She loved to work, listen to gospel music and take care of her cats.

She is survived by her son Jerome Young; sisters, Judy Nunley and Carol (John) Wensch.

She was preceded in death by her son. Jimmy Young; parents Doyle and Evelyn Martin; her siblings; Dennis Roy Martin, Jerry (Betty) Martin, Glenn (Case) Martin, Fred (Tina) Martin, Danny (Debbie) Fielder and sister Barbara (Charles) Collins.
