James Lyon

James M. Lyon Sr., 78, of Zion, IL passed away on May 11, 2025.

James was born on May 10, 1947 in Waukegan, IL the son of Marvin and Eleanor (Ebert) Lyon. He graduated from Libertyville High School, and served in the Army in Vietnam. He worked at Abbott Laboratories until his retirement. James was a member of Sons of The American Revolution. 

James is survived by his children, Jim Lyon Jr., Monica (Bill) Dudek, and Michal Lyon; grandchildren, Cj Henke, Alyssa Henke, Brayden Dudek, and Maddux Dudek; sister, Sandy (Bennie) Gentry of Tell City, IN; and sister, Sue (Ron) Sechrist of Vanderbilt, PA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Lyon; and parents, Marvin and Eleanor Lyon.

A committal service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL.
