James Bouchard

James F. Bouchard of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, passed Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Lutheran General Hospital. Born in Kenosha, and raised in Zion, James remained there until joining the Army on April 1, 1967. He fought bravely in the Vietnam war, and was awarded a purple heart for being wounded in action. Following his honorable discharge, James returned home to Zion where he remained close with family and friends. James began working at Just Manufacturing in 1994 where he would eventually go on to meet his wife Patricia. They shared over 20 happy years together.

Survivors include his beloved wife Patricia Bouchard of Glen Ellyn, IL; son Joshua Bouchard of Lindenhurst, IL; brothers John (Donna) Bouchard of Princeton, IL and Paul (Penny) Bouchard of Beach Park, IL; and grandson Declan Lambert.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Eleanor Bouchard.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 30 from 10:00a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with Rev. David Leopold of the Zion Faith Homes officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
