Howard Meyers

Howard Raymond Meyers, 78, of Waukegan, Illinois, passed away on December 21, 2025. Howard was born on September 6, 1947, in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of Harold and Diana (Bell) Meyers.

Howard graduated from Waukegan High School and then went and served in the U.S. Army. He married Susan Konobeck on January 21, 1971. Howard retired from working as a painter and was a member of Amuets. Howie enjoyed spending time with his family. Especially time spent golfing with his son, grandson, and other family and friends. His favorite hobby was fishing with his grandsons in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, especially the Chicago Bears and White Sox.

Howard is survived by his loving wife, Susie Meyers; children, Diana (Ryan) McCafferty and Howard Raymond (Tanna) Meyers; grandchildren, Peyton McCafferty, Madelyn McCafferty, and Benjamin Meyers; sisters, Susan Melton and Nancy (Bill) Staschke; and nephews, Glen Melton and Todd (Betty) Melton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Diana Meyers and Harold Meyers.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, Illinois.
