Hazel F. Stephens

Hazel F. Stephens, 83, of Winthrop Harbor, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Hazel was born October 30, 1936 in Golden, MS to Frank and Ida Mink. She was a prior resident of Fulton, MS where she attended Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Hazel worked as a cook at Silver Dollar Restaurant in Winthrop Harbor, IL. Hazel is survived by her children, Timothy Stephens, of Fulton, MS and James “Ed” Stephens, of Winthrop Harbor, IL; grandchildren, Farah Stephens, Misty Stephens, Jimmy Stephens, Mike Jones and Brian Jones; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Vernel Johnson, of Golden, MS; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Stephens in 2012; parents, Frank and Ida Mink; sisters, Onice White, of Mantanchie, MS, and Orice Daily, of Winthrop Harbor, IL; and brothers, Arlis Mink, of Golden, MS, George T. Mink, of Golden, MS, and Charles Mink, of Zion, IL.
