Harvey J. Swaggerty

Harvey James Swaggerty ,76, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, passed away peacefully at home on December 13, 2024.

Harvey was born April 24, 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Chicago at a young age. He met and married Nancy Laschiazza on August 16, 1986. Harvey retired from Glenbrook North High school in NorthBrook, IL.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Nancy Swaggerty; children, Harvey James Swaggerty Jr., Kirk Brian Swaggerty, Chad Dustin Swaggerty, and Tammy Lynn Gabardi; grandchildren Amber, Jimmy, Sarah, Adam, Chad, David, Nick, Brittany; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marilyn, Rod, Michael, stepsisters, Karen, Bonnie & Sandy and a half-brother Michael.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary; and sister Sandy.

Visitation will be held at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, IL. from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Saturday December 28, 2024, with a memorial servicce to follow directly at 6:00 pm.
