Hale K. Darling

Hale K. Darling, 94, of Waukegan, IL, passed away on January 20, 2026, in Waukegan, IL. Hale was born on October 16, 1931, in Randolph, Wisconsin, the son of Lawrence and Pauline (nee Buchan) Darling. 

Hale graduated from high school, and joined the U.S. Navy, he married Jeanette Hatfield on April 21, 1956 in Glidden, Wisconsin. Hale worked for the U.S. Navy and civil service.

He is survived by his wife, Jeaneete Darling; children, Lawrence (Joanne) Darling, Kevin (Kim) Darling, and JoAnn Jessen-Richter; grandchildren, Heather Darling, Whitney (Matthew LeVan) Darling, Rachel (Mark) Tilley, Haley Darling, Ellory Jessen, and Jessica Darling. 

Hale was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cintra Lyford. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 6:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL.
