Gerhardt Schultz

Gerhardt J. Schultz, 83, of Beach Park, Illinois passed away June 4, 2026 in Waukegan, Illinois. He was born August 13, 1942 in Des Plains, Illinois.

Gerhardt worked for the Zion Police Department for 24 years. He was also a volunteer fire firefighter for Bonnie Brook Fire Department for 22 years and worked for the Village of Beach Park for 8 years.

He is survived by his wife, Fran Schultz; children, Lawrence (Mary), Chris (Shelly), and Patricia (Jerry) Poplawski; step daughter, Cindy (Steve) Petersen; grandchildren, Cherise, Woodrow, Marisa, Joshua, and Gray; step-grandchildren, Sarah (Kevin) and Paris Petersen; sisters, Joann, Jeanene, and Elizabeth; and brother, Jim Schultz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerhardt and Elaine Schultz; and brother, Jack Schultz.
