G. David Monette

G. David Monette, 74, of Zion, IL passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022 in Zion. David was born July 14, 1947 in Chicago, IL. He was a graduate of Zion-Benton Township High School and worked as a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Zion for 47 years. David enjoyed going to the gym his entire life; as a young man he traveled and competed in Karate. He also loved to spend time fishing. David proudly served his country as a Medic in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the VFW Post in Winthrop Harbor. David is survived by his daughter, Caroline Monette; grandchildren, Ethan, Maille and Leena Monette; 1 great-grandson, Arthur; sister, Barbara Earnest; nephew, Bruce Earnest; great-nephews, Johnathan and Bradley; great-niece, Leighana; and several great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 12 years, Tina; daughter, Pamela Loveless; parents, Charles and M. Teresa Loveless; brothers, William and Steven Loveless; and best friend and brother-in-law, Drew Earnest. In accordance with his wishes, no services for David will be held.
