Florence Talley-Watts

Florence S. Talley-Watts, 88, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, died on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Hospice Alliance House, Pleasant Prairie, WI. Florence was born November 23, 1923, in Waukegan, IL. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waukegan and also a former member of the "Women of the Vikings". Florence was a retired thirty year employee of Abbott Laboratories. She was a kind, loving and caring woman. Florence is survived by three daughters, Shirley Stites of Columbia, TN, Judy (Arlan) Lambie of Coal Cit y, IL, and Patricia Quigley of Winthrop Harbor, IL; fourteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Ruth (Charles) Kerr of CO, and Helen Fryer of WI; two brothers, Arnold (Yvonne) Johnson of FL, and Richard (Jan) Johnson of CA; many nieces and nephews and other family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Doyle Talley; second husband, George Watts; son, Doyle Talley Jr.; brother; Raymond Johnson; granddaughter, Karri McGaugh; son-in-law, Thomas Stites; and brother-in-law, Dan Fryer. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago, IL. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to either Star Hospice or the Hospice Alliance.
