Eugene Hausmann

Eugene T. Hausmann,83, of Waukegan, IL, died on Friday, December 21, 2007, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Eugene was born January 24, 1924, in Barton, WI, and was a long time member of Our Lady of Humility Church in Beach Park. He was retired from Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago. Eugene was a strong volunteer and community member, working with such organizations as Meals- On-Wheels. He was a loving father, and grandfather. Survivors include daughter, Lorraine Nolan of Manchester, TN; sons, Lloyd (fianc Melba) Hausmann of Manchester, TN, and Edwin Hausmann of Waukegan, IL; step-children, Anita, Leda, Thomas and Marcus; grandchildren, Eugene Nolan of Manchester, TN, and Samantha Hausmann of Beech Grove, TN; six sisters, Pat, Therese, Marcella, Frances, Helen, and Charlotte; and numerous nephews and nieces . He was preceded in death by his wife Verneda in 1997; brother, Vincent Hausmann; and father and mother, Edwin and Helen Hausmann. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Rd., Beach Park. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m., Thursday, until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Catholic Charities of Lake, 671 S. Lewis, Waukegan, IL 60085 are suggested.
