Elsie Parsygnat

Elise Mae Parsygnat, 95, of Grayslake, IL formerly of Waukegan, IL passed away in Pleasant Prairie, WI on October 14, 2026.

 Elsie was born on March 1, 1931 the daughter of Clarence and Florence (Allen) Perry. She graduated from Grayslake High School, and worked as a data processor at the Highland Park School district until her retirement. Elsie enjoyed attending hot air balloon rallies, visiting amusement parks and riding roller coasters until she was in her 80s. She also loved roller skating, going to fairs and craft shows. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children: Jackie VanBesien, Karen Taylor, Ruth Parsygnat, Wayne Parsygnat, and Trudi Evans; grandchildren: Cassandra Derohan, Philip Lindenbaum, Bryan Lindenbaum, Sara Taylor, Brittany Parsygnat, Tj Parsygnat, Donna VanBesien, Jacob Evans, Jenny Sawyer, Cori Binkley, Eric Parsygnat, Christopher VanBesien and Nicole VanBesien; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Walter Parsygnat and James Parsygnat; parents, Clarence and Florence Perry; sister, Bernice Burgett; and brother, Allen Perry.
