Eddie Powell

Eddie Wayne Powell, age 77, of Waukegan, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025. He was born on October 7, 1948, in Waukegan to the late William and Velma Powell.

Eddie married Roberta Humphrey on October 23, 1971. Though they later divorced, they remained connected through the love of their family. For 33 years, Eddie was a dedicated employee of OMC Johnson Motors, where he took great pride in his work and in the friendships he built over the years.

Eddie is survived by his former wife, Roberta Powell, and his daughter, Kimberly Powell (Steve) He was a proud grandfather to Marisa Shaver (Wes), Connor Paglusch, Tarran Paglusch, Hailee Paglusch (Kevin), Kaytlyn Paglusch, and Nathaniel Paglusch. He also leaves behind cherished great-grandchildren Cambria Shaver, Zhylin Hickman, and Zhanyi Hickman; his loving sister, Helen Qualls; his dear nephew, Brian VanLeer (Jodi) and many other nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Faye Mares, June Russell, and Nell Johnson.
