Dolores St. Clair was called home to Jesus on April 14, 2026 after a long and richly lived sojourn in this world. We commend her soul to our merciful Lord and will forever remember our own Yankee Doodle Dandy.
Born in Chicago on July 4, 1931 at Swedish Covenant Hospital, Dolores was preceded in death by her mother Rose Meschek Sullivan, father Mark Peter Seirsdale, and brother Mark Robert Seirsdale. She graduated from Tuley High School and was a member of St. Paul's Luthern Church in Waukegan, Il.
Dolores was intensely proud of her Bohemian and Danish heritage. She retired from Abbott Laboratories after working in the Credit Department for 16 years. Her professional career spanned 6 decades, befitting her broad and ranging intellect and interests. She loved to travel, was a great cook, and loved her family and her dogs. In short, she was an amazing lady.
She is survived by her partner of more than 50 years, Mary Gados. Together they shared a life of friendship, loyalty, love, and adventure. She is also survived by her Sister-in-law Joan Pulliam, niece Delores (Leon) Chow, nephews John (Kimberly) Post, James (Jaqueline) Post, Jeffery (Helen) Post, Charles (Mary Ellen) Post, Peter (Anna) Seirsdale, half-brother David Nazar and half-sister Gayle Myers as well as dozens of nieces and nephews.
All mourn our loss and will forever remember her magnetic personality and dramatic gifts that never failed to rouse us to laughter and to tears.
Interment service will be Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Mount Olivet Memorial Park, 1436 North Kenosha Rd, Zion, IL 60099.
