Diane Wilson

Diane Cooper Wilson, of Zion, Illinois passed away November 12, 2025 in Chicago, Illinois. She was born April 27, 1954 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Diane married her husband, Timothy Wilson November 17, 2012 in Waukegan, Illinois. She was baptized at Ebenezer Church in the late 80's by Reverend Tart. She worked for Hermon Park in Zion, Popeyes Chicken in Waukegan for many years. She spent 20 years working for Dr. Steven Block Plastic Surgery Office in Highland Park.

Diane was loved and respected by many, in fact, she was the life of the party, she would outstep anyone. She loved to cook and she was fierce as can be. She kept it real with anyone. She would always say that God is always sitting high looking low, so if you take one step, God will take two.

Diane is survived by her husband, Timothy Wilson; children, Diane Latonya Cooper of Beach Park, Illinois, Darnell (Laquana) Cooper of Virginia, James (Katie) Cooper Jr of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Harvey Cooper of Zion, Illinois; bonus children, Tanisha (Priest) Wade of Waukegan, Illinois, Tamekkia Williams of Waukegan, Illinois, and Timothy L. Wilson Jr of Texas; grandchildren, Gadari, Sayvon, Cheyenne, Darnisha, Simion, Simone, Dyanay, Mahelya, Isaiah, James Jr., Alexia, Armonte, Aryanna, Ameerah, Harvey Jr., Jashaun, Tarrell, and Tacara; 17 Great Grandchildren; 11 Sisters; 3 Brothers; loving god children, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; special cousin, Joyce Walker; and special friends, Pat Reynolds, Tina Dennis, Gina Jarrett, and Shirley Grant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mahilia and Willie Davis; and sisters, Jewel, Wanda, and Gwen.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation during their time of sorrow.

Visitation will be held Friday November 21, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church 3109 Gilead Avenue Zion Illinois, 60099.
