Demetrio Pagan Jr. was born on April 19, 1954, in Puerto Rico and passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, at the age of 72.
Demetrio was the youngest of six siblings and carried with him a generous heart that touched everyone who knew him. He found joy in caring for others, and one of the ways he showed his love was through his cooking. His kitchen was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious meals he lovingly prepared. Whether it was for his children, grandchildren, neighbors, family, or friends, he never hesitated to make sure everyone was fed. Sharing his food was his way of sharing his heart.
Another passion of Demetrio's was working on cars. He spent countless hours fixing vehicles and took great pride in his work. Even after he was no longer able to work on them, his love for cars never faded.
Above all else, Demetrio's greatest joy in life was his family. He adored his children and treasured every moment he spent with his grandchildren. Being "Papa" was one of his proudest roles, and his grandchildren brought endless happiness to his life. His love, guidance, laughter, and gentle presence will remain in their hearts forever.
Demetrio is survived by his loving children, Demetrio Angel Pagan and Jessenia (Pagan) Sosa; his cherished grandchildren, Janiyah Pagan, Romeo Miller, and Mia Sosa; his former wife, Elizabeth Pagan, with whom he shared his family; and his beloved sisters, Maria T. Rivera, Carmen Pagan, and Gladys Perez. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, neighbors, and all whose lives were made brighter by his kindness, generosity, and unwavering willingness to help others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Demetrio Pagan Sr. and Rosa Pagan; his sisters, Rosa M. Vega and Mercedes Pagan; his beloved niece, Rosa L. Vega; and his nephew, Cecilio "Tony" Vega.
Demetrio will be deeply missed every single day. The love he gave so freely and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy of love, generosity, family, and selflessness will continue through those he loved most.
We don't know how we are going to navigate this life without him, but we are forever grateful for the years we were blessed to call him our father, grandfather, brother, uncle, family member, and friend. Though he is no longer with us, he will always be loved, always be remembered, and never be forgotten.
