Christopher D. Griffin

Christopher D. Griffin, 57, of Gurnee, Illinois, passed away on September 13, 2026.

Christopher was born on March 20, 1969 in Chicago, IL. He would later move to Zion, IL and graduate from Zion Benton Township High School class of '88. Christopher worked for Syntron Material Handler for many years. When he was not busy at work Christopher could be found outdoors, he loved to go hunting, fishing, spending time on the waters of Lake Michigan and the Mississippi River riding on his wave runner, and grilling outside. Christopher was also a big fan of the Chicago Bears. Most of all Christopher just enjoyed spending time with family and friends. 

Christopher is survived by his children, Gage Griffin and Garik Griffin; father, Robert Griffin; brothers, Todd (Mary) Griffin, James Griffin; nephew, Grant Griffin; niece, Lauren (Ian) Mckee; great-nephew, Lane Mckee; uncle, Ray (Marcie) Boulay, and many cousins.

Christopher was preceded in death by his mother, Claudette M. Griffin, and brother, Troy L. Griffin.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
