Cheryl J. Peters of Zion, IL passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at Vista Medical Center in Waukegan, Illinois. She was Born on July 27, 1955, in Waukegan, IL.

Cheryl dedicated a substantial part of her career to the field of print media. Over the years, she worked with reputable organizations such as Burgess Anderson and Tate and the News Sun. Additionally, Cheryl served as a print media specialist at Rotary International Craftsman Club and was involved in print production at the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago. Her creativity and commitment to her work were evident in all her endeavors.

She was a proud graduate of Zion Benton Township High School. Her faith was an important cornerstone of her life; she was a member of Christ Community Church in Zion, Illinois.

Cheryl's family was the center of her world. She is survived by her children, April Peters and Phil Peters; her grandchildren, Aaron Peters, Alex Rumph, Autumn Rumph, and Amber Rumph; as well as her great-grandchildren, Klhoe Rose and Oliva Peters. She will also be fondly remembered by her brothers, Loren Smith and Fred Nielson, along with her niece, PJ Nielson, and nephew, Brendan Smith.

A memorial service to celebrate Cheryl's life will be held on June 5, 2025, at 11:00 am at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, Illinois.
