Charles Taylor Sr.

Charles Edward Taylor Sr., 73, of Kenosha, WI formerly of Zion, and LaSalle, IL passed away on February 10, 2026.

Charles was born on August 25, 1952 in Tupelo, MI the son of Cortez Taylor and Martha Taylor-Standord. After graduating from Zion Benton High School, Charles was the owner of Taylor Drywall for over 40 years and also the previous owner of M & T Drywall. He enjoyed working out at the YMCA, and was a former member of Habitat for Humanity of Illinois. He was a loving father and grandfather, spending time with his family was his world. He was a loving and caring person who always helped anyone he could always wearing a smile, even while beating cancer a year and a half ago.

Charles is survived by his children: Tonya Taylor and Charles Taylor Jr., and Kevin Taylor; grandchildren, Zachary Marabella, Kayla Benjamin, Kenchrell Benjamin, Kendell Benjamin, Emmett Taylor, Chance Taylor and Alivia Traylor; great-grandchildren, Illyanna and Ilaynah Colon; sister, Cindy Taylor; brothers, Dennis Taylor and Gary Taylor; former wife, Sue Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cortez Taylor; mother, Martha Taylor-Stanford; and daughter, Tina Marabella.
