Charles William Freeman Sr.

Charles W. Freeman Sr.,89, passed away on December 26, 2025 in McHenry, Illinois. He was born in Waukegan, Illinois, on December 22, 1936 and spent most of his life in Beach Park, Illinois. He honorably served in the Army for seven years during the Korean War. He was a devoted husband to Doris Irene Freeman for 48 years and a loving father to four children and seven stepchildren. He also leaves behind several grandchildren.

Charles had a passion for working on cars, a hobby that brought him joy and connected him with loved ones.

Visitation will be held at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, IL on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion,  IL.
