Carlene Fusco

Carlene (Harris) Fusco, 91, of Waukegan, IL (formerly of Windsor, CT) , beloved wife of the late Anthony S. Fusco, died Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Vista Medical Center in Waukegan.

Born in Lyndonville, Vermont, she attended the First Congregational Church and graduated high school from the Lyndon Institute where she played in the high school band. She eventually moved to Connecticut where she became employed for the Mercury Oil Company as a secretary. She was a lifetime member of the order of the Eastern Stars and traveled to Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and various towns in Connecticut as well to attend meetings. She joined the Wilson Congregational Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.

She leaves behind her children, Kenneth R. Selby, Waltena Selby, and Joyce (Fusco) A. Lomonaco; many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Duane E. Selby; parents, Carl and Waltena E. Harris; sister, Amaryllis Crowell; brother, Carl (Pete)Harris; and son Michael A. Fusco.

Carlene will be remembered for her radiant smile, her caring heart, quick wit, and devotion to helping others.

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 21, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, IL. Followed by a luncheon at Stone Creek Grill, 206 Sheridan Road, Winthrop Harbor, IL 60096.
