Bonnie Wilkinson

Bonnie D. Wilkinson, age 76, of Winthrop Harbor passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout her journey, Bonnie displayed incredible courage, grace, and unwavering hope.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Richard Wilkinson; children, Shannon (Kris) Hedrick, David (Erin) Grinhaug, Janet Elrod, and Brian Wilkinson; grandchildren, Ellie, Alli, Addison, Anabelle, Nathan (Tanya), Christian, Daniel, and Elijah; great-grandchildren, Maggie and Freya; sister, Rosalie Miletich; brother-in-law, Tom Wilkinson; and numerous nieces and nephews including Diana, Donna, and Micki.

She was preceded in death by her mother, May Bowen; sisters, Lucille Thompson and Nancy Dilley; brother-in-law, Mike Miletich; grandson, Gage Hedrick; son-in-law, Chris Elrod; and nephew, Patrick Rouse.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099, at 10:00 a.m, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Jonathan Misirian officiating.  A procession to Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL will follow.

Bonnie’s sense of humor, her eye for making things around her beautiful, and most of all the love and care she showed her family will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
