Betty L. Gonzales

Betty Lou Gonzales, (Swanson) 72, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois passed away on November 25, 2025.

Betty was born on April 19, 1953 in Waukegan, IL. Her family moved to Zion, IL where she attended and graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School. Betty married Alford Gonzales on November 2, 1991 at Russell Church. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winthrop Harbor, IL. When not spending time with her family Betty could be found knitting and sewing or doing cross word puzzles. She also enjoyed playing BINGO and watching WWE.

Betty is survived by her husband, Alford Gonzales; daughters, Miranda (Joseph) Jones, and Rhonda Swanson; step-daughter, Alicia Gonzales; many grandchildren; and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Amy Swanson; and brother, Ronald Swanson.
